For the love of beautiful spaces, properly made things, art for art's sake and the creative talents behind it all

Hello, and welcome! I'm Hen, and I've been writing about art, design and culture, as well as curating and commissioning it, for the best part of 20 years. I also consult for brands on strategy, design and editorial.

Straddling the commercial and creative, mostly my work sits in the luxury lifestyle space. I've been lucky enough to count some of the world’s most respected and prestigious brands, institutions, agencies and philanthrophic organisations as clients.

I've founded two of my own business (a furniture rental platform and a branding agency).

While this page is about me, the rest of this website exists to shine a light on the world I operate in.

Published books include The Art of Timeless Spaces (Rizzoli), the Remake It series (Thames & Hudson), Simply Contemporary (Thames & Hudson), Stadhaus Revealed (Fuel).

Significant content platforms and campaigns include Rethink Everything (Lombard Odier), Brilliant Britain (Mulberry), The Season (Maybourne), Flavour First (Nyetimber).

Commissioning and working alongside designers to develop new products and concepts including the long-running Wallpaper* Handmade initiative, Everything Forever Now - a touring exhibition of sustainable design with the British Council; the V&A's HearWear and Protein Studios' SlowTech, Martino Gamper’s Chair Arch.

Cultural programming initiatives for the British Government, the Canadian High Commission and the Royal Norwegian Embassy to promote design, innovation and enterprise. Lead Curator of the GREAT Festival of Creativity in Shanghai. working with Number Ten Downing Street and UKTI.
